Bonnie + Mark: Maternity

Fun should be their middle name. If Bonnie and Mark were to be placed in a category, fun would be their perfect fit and last week at their photo shoot, it was just that. However, that wasn't the focus of the shoot. The attention was on Bonnie's precious little bun in the oven. Payton.  A few months ago, they gathered a group of friends of ours and announced they were going to be parents. With lots of hugs, tears and lots of OH-MY-GOOOOOSHHHH!!!! goin' on, we couldn't have been more ecstatic that these two were jumping on the baby wagon. Both of them are great friends of mine and I couldn't have been more excited to have them in front of the camera.

Little Payton, you couldn't have been more blessed to have Bonnie and Mark as your mommy and daddy. They laughed at all my jokes when I was taking their pictures so you know they're awesome. ;) Can't wait to meet you!

Bonnie and Mark, ya'll we're a BLAST to shoot! Excited to see you guys as parentals! haha

I loved that they chose Prospect park in Redlands for their pictures. Really, there wasn't a place where I didn't want to shoot. Here are a few from their day. :)

Bonnie suggest we try the pose on the left. Hope I didn't disappoint girl!
 Seriously, that light!!

Jessica + Ruben: Engagement

It started off through a simple glance of a picture on Facebook, and that glance led to a Facebook friend request, and later on an engagement, and this October a wedding! The minute Ruben saw a picture of Jessica on one of their mutual friend's profile, he couldn't help but ask who she was. Oh the powers of social media! Ruben requested Jessica to be his friend, but Jessica at first didn't seem too interested. After many likes on her pictures and sweet little messages, they finally met at a friend's birthday party, and Jessica? Well let's just say she changed her mind. Fast forward a few months later and these two are getting ready to tie the knot this October with a beautiful Oakglen wedding. Both of them are great friend's of mine so I was so excited to shoot their engagement pictures! Not to mention I'll be one of the bridesmaids at the wedding. Haaaaay!!

Ru and Jess, thank you for allowing to me capture you two as you enjoy this season of being engaged. So excited for the big day!

Love,
Fernanda <3

Sherman Indian High School Senior Portraits

It's been a busy past couple of weeks, so I'm glad I have some time to spare to post an awesome senior session. It's about time, I know! A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of having not just one, but five awesome girls in front of the camera for their senior pictures. Five young ladies reppin' Sherman Indian High School graced the camera and worked it out like pros. I loved it!

To kick things off, here's Kookie. Yes, that's her real name ya'll, and any girl that can rock a name like Kookie is awesome in my book. She is a big Bulls fan so I love that she decided to incorporate that in her session. You work that hair momma!

     I love this shot!!
    Next, meet Kristen. She's fabulous.
    Robin, you work them stairs!

I wish I could rock purple and red hair!
Oooooooh, girl!!!!!
Go on!!

Down Town Redlands Engagement: Joanna and Frankie

It was obvious to everyone around them that Joanna and Frankie liked each other. I actually have the pleasure of knowing these two love birds from church, and myself, along with a few others quickly saw the spark both of them had even before they began dating. As Joanna recalls, "I thought it was a only a phase!" In her mind, she thought the crush she had on the boy that played the drums at church would soon fade away, but it didn't. And that spark? It grew even more, and to her surprise, that spark was growing inside Frankie's heart too. The pretty girl that played the guitar soon began grabbing his attention. Last week I had the privilege of shooting Joanna and Frankie's engagement shoot, and as we roamed the old streets of Down Town Redlands these two oozed love. They're planning a beautiful wedding in May and I cannot wait to sit and watch as they say their I do's.

Joanna and Frankie, thank you so much for allowing me to take pretty pictures of ya'll! I had a blast hanging out with you two, because really, it felt nothing like work. haha

xoxo

Here are some of my favorite images of their shoot. :)

You work it girl!
This next part of their session has to be one of my favorites. That lighting!? I mean, c'mon!!
After a quick outfit change, these two rocked it out for some more pics!
Textured walls and a little bling?! Gahh!

Happy Wednesday! :)

Life in the in between....

I know I haven't given this blog a lot of love lately, but life? Well, life in the between can get a little crazy sometimes. And when all the little ins and outs that life can unexpectedly bring pop up, it can leave a girl with a million things on her plate. And my plate has been full. More than on Thanksgiving. And trust me, the way I grub, that's a lot of food. Recently, I just got a new job as a bilingual teacher's aid so  big ups to getting pizz-aid (woot woot!), the ministry life at church is still busy and awesome as always, I'm starting a brand new health and work out plan, ok that last part was a lie.  Last but not least, I'm soon switching gears in terms of polishing up this little photography business. New website, new branding, new everything! It's a brand new year and life in the in between will continue to spark up new craziness but that's what makes life interesting. So, to kick off a brand new year, here is a sneak peek of last week's engagement shoot in Down Town Redlands. That lighting and this couple? I died. Twice. More to come soon!

Happy New Year!!

Senior: Rachael

Senior year can be the most exciting, stressful, what in the world do I wear for prom time in a young girl's life. Rachael is right smack in the middle of all the ups and downs the high school senior life can bring and in a short while she'll be headed out to the real world with a dream in her pocket like any other hopeful senior. In her case, she's taking a ticket out to the Air Force and something tells me she's gonna' kick some serious military butt. I had an absolute blast having the opportunity to have her rock out in front of the camera for her senior pictures and dare I say she worked it like a pro. With the Museum of Photography  (which by the way I've become obsessed with) serving as her backdrop, Rachael strut her stuff and I was so glad to be able to document such a special and exciting time in her life.

Rachael, you are fabulous girl. Really, you are. Thank you for allowing me to snap pretty pictures and have a blast while doing it. :)

Here are some of my favorites from her session.
