Happy Birthday Paulina! :)

This past Saturday I did something I've never done. Wear red lipstick. And dare I say, I felt like a daredevil. Yeah, I'm thinking I may need to amp up my lipstick game because gloss is getting kinda boring.  Anyways, there was a perfect reason to my daredevilish ways. It was my friend's Paulina's birthday. Myself, and a bunch of her friends and familly gathered together to celebrate her life, and we did it 50's style! We we're all doing the twist like nobody's business and ofcourse I had to bring my camera to snap some pictures of her special day. I even climbed a couple of couches and some chairs to get some shots, cuz you know, that's how we cool photographer's do it.  Paulina is my best friend's little sister and I absolutely love her and her pretty little self!

Paulina, happy birthday girl! Thank you for letting me be part of your special day! <3

Here are some pictures I snapped of her party. This was my fist time using flash so it was a challenge having to adjust my exposure to the lighting in the house. By bumping up my ISO and giving the camera less light I managed to get the exposure I wanted. And warning, I totally got carried away with the amount of pictures on this blog. haha!

And here is the pretty birthday girl.
Details, details, details! :)
Ok, I know this picture is a tad bit out of focus but I still love it. Don't hate. haha
Oh yes, me and the bestie rockin' it out.

Up close and personal

I love shooting pictures that show the personality of the person I'm shooting. Laughing shots, dancing shots, shuffling shots-ok, that's actually never happened-but who knows. Shooting from a distance and letting my cleints just be themselves while I snap away is great. It gives them the freedom to just play around and have a fun time while their doing it. But sometimes, I like to get all up in their grill to get those beautiful close up shots. You know, the ones where it looks like their pondering something really philosohpical. I just have to make sure I pop in some tic tacs before I get up in their space all close and personal. Ya know what I'm sayin'!

What's in my school bag...

So I've been really busy with school lately. The kind of busy that doesn't allow me to write new posts on my blog the way I would want to. I know--I know, I'm the worst person ever, geez! Anyways, this year I began my pre-requisites for the teaching credential program, and I'm not gonna lie, I just felt super smart saying that. What!!

Lately I've been exercising all of my smartness on my edumacation.  But today, I've decided to take a moment to write a post regarding the things inside my school bag. Umm, yeah, don't you just love my creativity? You see, for the past couple of weeks my school bag has been my faithful confidant. The holder of all the important things I need for my long and busy days on campus. Without it I would feel lost and prone to failure. And yes, I am completely over-exaggerating this description, but just go with it.

So here are few of the things I carry in my school bag every day. Without them,--yes, even my lip gloss--life as a college student would feel incomplete. And there I go again being over dramatic. I'm gonna stop now.

My text books and my notebook where you can clearly see my gift of notetaking.

A girl's school bag isn't complete without some lip gloss. It's like one of the rules of feminism. Oh, and that zip lock pencil bag, best 75 cent investment I've ever made.

Where I carry the benjamins. And Paul Walker's number.

Just in case I'm not wearing makeup. Or if it's sunny.

Happy wednesday ya'll! :)
